Steele Editorial Services was founded in 1986 to provide an intelligent and practical response to issues of content and style in a wide range of publications.


Principal Hope Steele offers a wide range of editorial services for many different kinds of clients,from large international development organizations and scientific research organizations to educational publishers and individuals. Steele Editorial Services takes projects taken from concept through bound book. Areas of experience include books and reports in business and management, economic development, economics, English as a foreign language, information and communication technologies (ICT), law, medicine and nursing, and natural sciences. Hope Steele has experience managing projects and providing practical, timely editorial solutions to a wide variety of circumstances. Project management can include coordinating manuscript drafts, galleys, and author revisions; supervising the design and production of templates, art, and illustrations; working with authors, illustrators, designers, and printers. Hope Steele is comfortable with all aspects of editorial work, including editing manuscripts written by non-English speakers; preparing tabular material from Excel and PowerPoint files; copy-fitting for specific design templates; and compiling source lists, glossaries, and indexes. She is equally comfortable working in British English and American English. Projects can be big or small, from developmental and editorial assessment, project management, and rewriting to light copyediting and proofreading.
